Jay Procter Farms, Inc. got its start in the mid 1990s when Jay bought his first New Holland forage harvester. With Shayne by his side, driving their bobtail truck, they started chopping silage one load at a time. The business has come a long way since then. With the help of their two kids and multiple employees, the business has grown tremendously over the years. Silage crews travel from Garden City, Kansas to the Mexico border working for various farmers, dairies, and feedlots. With a fleet of 7 John Deere Forage Harvesters, 7 John Deere Packing Tractors, and 2 Ag-Bag Baggers, we are typically on the road from April to November. On the facilities end of things, what started as a single bay machine shop has expanded into a second shop with multiple bays and an accompanying office building in the last decade. Outside of our harvesting services we farm roughly 800 acres of land in and around Erath County and run a small beef cattle operation at our farm just outside Lingleville, Texas.
Jay Procter Farms, Inc. has been a member of the U.S Custom Harvesters, Inc. since 2006. U.S Custom Harvesters is an association of professional custom harvesters, serving the needs of the American farmer. This organization allows us to connect with people from across the country and help add to our seasonal harvesting crew!
We have seasonal positions open for the coming harvest season. To apply please fill out an application and email to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail a hard copy to PO Box 108 Lingleville, TX 76461.
